Inauguration: Osun Governor, Adeleke Renames State, Reverse Appointments Made By Oyetola

 


 

 

 The governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, was sworn in on Sunday at the Osogbo City Stadium. 


 

 Senator Ademola Adeleke is officially incharge as the Governor of Osun after taking pledge of office. 



 The pledge of office was administered on the Governor by the State Chief Judge, Justice Oyebola Adepele- Ojo. 

 Speaking after taking his pledge, Governor Adeleke reversed the state from" State of Osun" to" Osun State". 

 

 

 Adeleke reversed all appointments made by the immediate past governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, effective from July 7, 2022. 


 

 The newly sworn- in governor ordered that all government bank accounts be firmed . 



 He also bared that all conduct of the Oyetola administration from July 17 will be redefined. 




Present at the event were dignitaries that included the Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate and his running mate, Atiku Abubakar and Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, the Edo State governor, Godwin Obaseki, Akwa Ibom State governor, Emmanuel Udom and others. 


 

 Also, former Governors of Osun and Oyo countries, Prince Olagunsoye and Rasheed Ladoja also graced the event ongoing at the venue.
